about

Do not adjust your equipment! This track *really is* lo-fi with samples from a "Learn English" course which is easily available copyright-free from the interweb. We wouldn't recommend it though. Most of the musical sounds are provided by samples from a Mattel toy organ, an Optigan. We couldn't resist using this endearingly plasticky machine on this little number. Whilst there may be a cynical nod to Mr Jones buried therein, we were probably more morbidly fascinated that thousands of tax-paying souls around the world actually parted with serious cash for such a hilariously shoddy bit of kit...

First heard on the Epileptic Gibbon podcast show, now available for all.
