Lyrics are inspired by an ancient Boys' Brigade chant popular in England in the 1930s. Judging by the veiled threat on their contemporary recruitment poster, you may have been better off without them. Still, in those days there was little else for the youth unless you count the Scouts and one of Mosley's gangs.
